Banking operations end on Dec. 24
November 4, 2008
Thanks to the possibility that there will be a long Christmas holidays this year, the banking year end officially ends on Dec. 24, Wednesday. Because we’re all waiting for the Malacanang declaration, banks are unsure whether Dec. 26 (Friday), Dec. 29 (Monday) and Dec. 31 (Wednesday) will be declared non-working days.
If and when we have a very long Christmas break, please make sure you withdraw enough money by Dec. 24. Because there will be no bank operations after that, you don’t want to be stuck without money or unable to pay the bills (unless you do bank transactions online).
