Philippine Airlines reduces fuel surcharge

Good news for travelers!

Philippine Airlines has announced that it will reduce its fuel surcharge by as much as US$20 for international flights and PhP400 for domestic. The reduction is due to the sharp fall of crude oil prices in the world market. We have seen prices of crude oil climb as high as US$120/bbl and now it’s around US$60-US$80 only.

The reduction in PAL’s fuel surcharge will take effect on Nov. 3, 2008. Sayang, PAL should implement it ASAP so that those who will travel in time for All Saints’ Day will be able to take advantage of the reduction. Baka nanghihinayang ang PAL sa profit nila since All Saints’ Day is peak season.

Anyway, the reduction in fuel surcharge remains good news for travelers.
